Pauline Street Compound, the Bywater, with SCNZ

The guys at SCNZ brought me in to do this little gem in the Bywater. It was wonderfully complicated. There was a beautiful historic house that was almost completely intact, a tiny two-room cottage, and a terrible homemade garage that needed to go. The result was a very compact urban program that kept the beauty of the existing buildings, while adding a new building that fit into the fabric of the area, looked modern, and won the approval of the HDLC, the neighborhood and the developer. It was like making a watch. Heaven.
