This was crazy. In the beginning of the boom, I helped Concordia Architects design a massive retail, residential and office complex in Dubai. The goal was to take the building language of the area and project it into the future. So we were dealing with ancient Bedoin iconography and thermal glazed planetarium domes. I don't think it ever got built, but it was great fun to work on. Plus I got to go to Dubai.
