When I came on board, Carlos Cashio and Jack Cochran had already masterfully laid the building out in the landscape of Audubon Park's ancient oak trees. As the consulting Project Architect, my job was to see that the building's design fit visually and functionally into the site. The selection of materials, the detailing and the proportions were all designed to maximize the beauty of this location and to give the impression, as well as possible, that the building had been there as long as anyone could remember.
